The combination of KIMCO and Eurest Services provides expanded geographic reach for facilities soft support and managed services, making it one of the largest providers in the areas served. John Barrett, former CEO of KIMCO, has been named President of Eurest Services USA.

The joint company will offer services ranging from janitorial and soft building services to grounds keeping. The ability to customize unique service bundles is enhanced by access to extensive staff training and processes like the Compass Service Framework, a proprietary platform developed to allow a range of services to be delivered to customers within repeatable and consistent management procedures.

Wayne, PA, Dec. 23 -- Eurest Services, part of Compass Group, has signed one of the largest international Food and Support Services contracts of its kind with the global energy and petrochemicals company, Royal Dutch Shell plc ("Shell").
This new extension to the existing contract will see Eurest Services providing hard and soft services to Shell sites across the USA, Canada and Latin America(1)( )and the contract is now valued in excess of 200m pounds Sterling in annual revenue. The extended contract with Eurest Services will enable Shell to rationalise the number of existing service contractors in the Americas from more than 150 down to one. Eurest Services will continue to provide a wide array of services(2) including catering, vending, cleaning, reception, mechanical services and electrical services at a variety of sites including headquarters, refineries and mines.
In the USA, Eurest Services will be providing soft services, hard services, corporate dining, and office coffee and vending services to fourteen Shell sites throughout the country. The total contract is valued at million U.S. in annual revenues.
This extended deal with Shell across the Americas expands the existing international contract in the UK and Europe, already accounting for approximately 100 million pounds of annual revenue. This international relationship began with Shell in early 2007 since which time Eurest Services has provided services to the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Poland, the North Sea, Nordic Offshore, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Turkey and Greece.
The announcement of this Americas extension follows the news earlier in the year of a prestigious win at the European FM Awards where Eurest Services won the "Partners Across Borders" category with Shell. The award recognises excellence in delivering integrated services to an organisation located in more than one European country.
According to Ron Edwards, Shell's Global Category Manager for Real Estate, "Eurest Services has quickly proved its agility and competence to become a trusted and valued global partner to Shell.
