Eurest Services Receives Diversey HHPC Day Certified Contractor Status

Eurest Services is one of five leading Building Service Contractors (BSCs) to earn healthy high performance cleaning (HHPC) Day Certified Contractor status. Certification is granted following HHPC Day Training at Diversey’s Academy in Sturtevant, Wisconsin. The Academy provides a group of expert day cleaning instructors to help BSCs learn how to develop and manage their own day cleaning programs using an HHPC system. By safely eliminating the need for late night shifts, Eurest Services will offer customers energy savings, a more sustainable approach to cleaning, and increased productivity and efficiency. Shaun Levenson, Vice President of Strategy and Development for Eurest Services, recently wrote an article for Retail Facility Business, focusing on proper budgeting techniques for snow removal. Titled, "What are the Chances?" the article discusses the benefits of using historical data for making educated assumptions on snow accumulation for the coming winter. The article argues that the best way to create a more accurate and actionable weather variable is to utilize de-weatherization, the method of objectively and statistically removing weather's volatility from your historical results.

Compass Service Framework now a finalist in two FM Awards

Eurest Services is a finalist in both the BIFM Innovation in Technology & Systems Award and the i-FM e-Business Award, one of the PFM Partnership Awards. Eurest Services has been shortlisted for these awards with the Compass Service Framework (CSF), a comprehensive standard operating platform for the delivery of facilities management.

 

The winners of the BIFM Awards will be announced on 11th October at a Gala event at the Grosvenor Hotel. The e-Business Awards will be announced at the PFM Awards dinner on 3rd November at The Brewery in central London.

Eurest Services’ Nathaniel Shaw Pens Article on Outsourcing for Retail Facility Business

Vice President of National Accounts Nathaniel Shaw is featured in the 2010 Professional Services Directory of Retail Facility Business in a thoughtful exploration of Outsourcing. According to the Eurest Services executive, who asks the question, “Is outsourcing an asset or threat to retail facility managers?” the practice could be viewed by some as "handing over the keys to the store.” In his exploration of the various motives the C-Suite generally has for either considering or running from outsourcing, Shaw ends with this conclusion: “The outsourcing trend is not going anywhere, but retailers will still fall within ranges of how much control they are willing to give up, how much performance they are willing to trade for reduced costs, and how willing they are to embrace unique solutions.”
